1. Payment

A valid credit card is required to confirm every reservation.

• Bookings made more than 60 days before arrival: 20% of the total booking value is payable at the time of booking. The remaining balance is payable 60 days before arrival.

• Bookings made within 60 days of arrival: the total booking value is payable at the time of booking.

The balance is charged automatically to the card held on file. By completing a booking you authorise Hotel Sebatikel to charge that card for the balance on the due date, and for any cancellation fee payable under the terms below. We will email you before the balance is charged. Please keep valid card details on file; you can update them at any time through the link in your confirmation email.

If a scheduled payment cannot be processed we will contact you. Where payment remains outstanding 7 days after the due date, we may cancel the reservation and apply the cancellation terms below.

2. Changing your dates

Plans change, and a stay with us is usually booked a long way ahead. You may move your reservation once, at no fee, with written notice more than 60 days before arrival, for arrival within 24 months of the original date. Availability applies and any difference in rate is payable. Further changes, or changes inside 60 days, are treated as a cancellation and rebooking.

3. Cancellation

Cancellations must be made in writing to reservations@hotelsebatikel.com and take effect from the date we receive them.

Cancelled within 14 days of booking (& 60+ days before arrival): No fee — full refund

More than 60 days: 20% of total booking value

60 days to 14 days: 50% of total booking value

Less than 14 days, or no-show: 100% of total booking value

Any amount paid above the cancellation fee is refunded to the original payment method within 14 business days.

4. Your cancellation fee is not lost

Whatever cancellation fee applies, we hold the full amount as a credit towards a future stay at Hotel Sebatikel. The credit is valid for 24 months from the date of cancellation, may be redeemed once against a future reservation, and may be transferred to another named guest. Redemption is subject to availability at the rates applying to the new dates; where the new booking is of greater value, the difference is payable, and where it is of lesser value, the unused balance is not refundable. Credits not redeemed within 24 months expire.

5. Non-arrival, curtailment and travel disruption

No refund is given for unused nights, unused inclusions, early departure or non-arrival, including where your travel is disrupted by weather, flight cancellation or road closure. Hotel Sebatikel is a regional boutique property and access is subject to conditions outside our control. Comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, curtailment and travel disruption is strongly recommended and is a condition of booking.

Where the property is operating but you are prevented from travelling by a disruption beyond your control, we will do what we reasonably can to move your reservation rather than cancel it. Any such arrangement is offered at our discretion and does not vary the terms above.

6. If we are unable to host you

If Hotel Sebatikel is unable to provide your accommodation — including closure arising from a cyclone or other severe weather event, damage, loss of essential services, or a direction from an authority — you may choose either a full refund of all amounts paid for the affected nights, or a credit to the value of 110% of those amounts, valid for 24 months. This is our total liability in these circumstances. We are not responsible for airfares, transfers, insurance or other third-party costs.

7. OTHER

Rates are quoted in Australian dollars and include GST. Whole-property bookings are subject to separate terms advised at the time of enquiry.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be on our website with the date it came into effect.
